August 2010 Bollywood Releases

  August 2010 also has some releases in Bollywood. Aisha, Help, Lafangey Parindey, Aashayein, Hello Darling and many other movies are hitting screens this month. But no big releases are scheduled.

Abhay Deol, Sonam Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Bobby Deol, Mugdha Godse, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Celina Jaitly, and Eesha Koppikhar are some of the popular actors whose films have the outing this month.

Aisha : Anil Kapoor Films Company & PVR Pictures brings to you the movie Aisha. The film stars Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor in the pivotal roles.

'And Once Again' not my comeback film: Antara Mali : Glamorous Antara Mali, who has gone bald for Amol Palekar's forthcoming film "And Once Again", admits it wasn't easy shaving her head. Last seen on the big screen five years ago, she also says this is not her comeback film.

Help : 'HELP' is a supernatural horror that draws upon the story of a malevolent spirit that refuses to leave the human world. Protagonist Vic (Bobby Deol) is a successful horror film director in Bollywood and is married to Pia (Mugdha Godse).

Help Movie Stills & Posters: Help is an upcoming bollywood horror film starring Bobby Deol and Mugdha Godse. The film also marks the first appearance of Sophia Handa. HELP is a ghostly horror that draws leading the story of a malicious spirit that say no to leave the human world.

Peepli Live : Peepli Live is an upcoming Hindi film which is produced by Aamir Khan.

Wikipedia Entry on Peepli Live: Written and directed by Anusha Rizvi in her first directorial venture, the film stars Naya Theatre company member Omkar Das Manikpuri as well as Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy along with a number of newcomers. Lafangey Parindey : Yash Raj Films produces the movie directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The film will reach theatres on August 20.

While Lafangey parindey is unmistakably rock in genre, there's an attempt to bring in a sense of desi with a balle-balleish sprinkling every now and then. 

Aashayein : Aashayein English (Hopes) is a forthcoming Hindi film written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, and produced by Percept Picture Company and T-Series.
