Japanese electronics major Sony Corp finally revealed its plans to introduce two tablet computers codenamed S1 and S2. Sony is a late entrant in highly competitive and fast growing tablet pc market. With this new tablets Sony is directly targeting the Apple iPad and planning to grab a remarkable market share in the coming years.

Major players like Samsung, HTC, RIM, HP, Acer, Dell ,Motorola are already in the Tablet PC market with their own tablet products. Samsung Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom and RIM Playbook are already launched in the international markets.

Sony S1 Tablet has 9.4 inch screen, two cameras and Wi-Fi connection. Sony S2 comes with two 5.5 inch screens.

Both Sony S1 and S2 are preloaded with Google Android 3.0 operating system.

Apple finally revealed details about much awaited iPad 2 tablet. It is 33 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter compared to iPad and comes with a dual-core A5 processor which is two times faster compared to old model and up to nine times graphics performance.

Apple iPad 2 also equipped with a long battery which provides 10 hour continuous battery life. It also comes with two cameras and comes with iOS 4.

Hardware major Hewlett Packard yesterday revealed details about its upcoming 9.7 inch Tablet named HP TouchPad. It comes with vibrant 9.7-inch diagonal flush capacitive multitouch display, virtual keyboard, instant-on access, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta in the browser and access to thousands of webOS applications.

WebOS is a proprietary mobile operating system based on Linux Kernel. It was initially developed by Palm and later purchased by Hewlett Packard in 2010.
